A young truck-driver passes through the California dessert. He is distraught after leaving behind a girlfriend of three years. A heated argument with his boss erupts as well which leads to being fired over the dispatch and ordered to bring the eighteen wheeler in for good. Feeling hopeless, he decides to drown his sorrows at {Crossroads Tavern} as he asks for three shots that are “Real Stiff.” The trucker throws back each drink while simultaneously befriending a member of a three piece Jam band. The three players are chain smoking desperados asking for a lift to the Death - Valley location of JamzTown. Purposively, they have a date with destiny at Jamz Recording Studio. The trucker agrees to their request. Meanwhile, a parade of angelic cuties appear on stage in front of them for a wet T- shirt contest. As you can imagine, the next few hours are an undocumented blur. The night ends with the foursome sharing a dive motel together. The trucker’s notebook falls to the ground and opens before the players. The Jam band questions the trucker about the poems which are all labeled in White skeleton bone lettering... The Jam band encourages the trucker to sing his lyrics along to their music as the smokers are all lit 1. Goodbyes “Are you ready, I said are you ready?” “Are you ready?” Let’s Go! The group awakes sometime in the afternoon as they get hauling throughout the midday. The evening leads the bunch into a Gentleman’s club as the trucker is delighted to see a dancing beauty dressed in a scandalous horny devil costume. Her sense of mischief, sweetness and danger make for a seductive mix. The trucker approaches the lady with an IOU written on a napkin rather than a dollar bill as she invites him to a complimentary pour in the Champagne room. The warmth of her presence heats up the room as they decide to leave out the back door exit. The trucker takes his new companion to her place to get acquainted. The Jam band is left behind to fend for themselves. 2. After they have finished she attempts to persuade the trucker to stay with her. She tells the trucker that he should drive the rig off a cliff and crawl back into her bed. The trucker calmly explains the situation that he promised to get the band to JamzTown. She tells the trucker that if he goes down that path he will throw his life away trying to be a rock and roller. The trucker gets fiercely angered with a response “It is my own life to make or break, who in the hell do you think you are talking down to me like that!” As the sun comes up for the day the trucker makes his way out the door without further agitation. 3. Play The Game Baby, what’s your name? Baby, I can play your game, give me your lovin Momma, I can tell, give me a chance and I’ll ring your bell Well, baby, I’m feeling blue honey right down to my shoes The Jam band is coughing and of course smoking back at the motel in the morning when the trucker arrives. The players walked home in the cold the night before which led to their sickness. The trucker acknowledges temptation made him weak. They accept his apology and get on the road again together. The trucker conveys that the temptress had a mystical seductive lure which frightened him. 4. One More Day Living always easy when you don’t have a home, there’s nothing to come back to when your out on the road. It’s so hard to keep my head straight, I don’t know what I know, yeah then I wonder baby if I know anything at all. He then regrets his choice to take up with another woman and begins to pray outloud. The crew stop in at a diner and the trucker goes to use a telephone to call his former girlfriend apologizing. He tells her that they are nearby JamzTown and that he is anxious about his new rock and roll opportunity. She is supportive, encouraging him that “When the world hears your words all the skeletons will dance on their graves.” He tells her that he misses her and loves her. He tells her to meet him at Jamz Recording Studio, it’s on the way to Vegas “Baby, maybe we could take drive to a church and get married?” She responds with “Oh my God yes! His response is that he does not need a bachelor party. The trucker screams out loud with joy and hangs up the phone by mistake. 5. You’re to Blame Well I feel so good when I sit at home, and I feel so good by my telephone, Well you make me feel baby, like a king, you make me feel like I can do anything. If I’m in love, your too blame, But if I’m in love, you’re to blame The group is still a few hours out of JamzTown as the rig gets a flat tire. A boomerang is found nearby 6. It seems as though the group has been on course to a ghost town. They pass by a Tattoo parlor with candles burning inside as the trucker decides to have JamzTown imprinted in White skeleton bone lettering down his spine. Thereafter, the foursome approach Jamz Recording Studio. They see the power is on and walk inside yet there is still not a soul around? They agree to just go ahead and record their music as they flip the switch at midnight. “We’re gonna record a true [Underground Sound.] The trucker instructs the group to put out their cigarettes while recording. They simultaneously respond “We can’t” as an odd moment catches the trucker off guard then is dismissed. 8. Don’t hold back You’re always talking about the ways things could be Friends try to tell me what to do, want to know, have a shot with you At the end of this recording session the band is rejoicing in there pleasure of accomplishment. The three players excuse themselves to the back door for a celebratory smoke. The trucker holds the master copy up in the air and begins to cry. Simultaneously, all the electricity in the building shuts down at once. The trucker is alone in the dark; grabs a flashlight and goes to look for the players. Instead, he finds three tombstones encrypted:
